About Us - Sonya Maybury
About Sonya Maybury
Sonya Maybury is an established, professional trainer whose career encompasses personnel management, company journalism and adult tertiary education and management. She was the head of the School of General Studies at Wellington Polytechnic in New Zealand and subsequently the Sydney Principal of Williams Business College for six years.
In 1994 Sonya set up The SpeechCoach training business. Over the past 22 years the SpeechCoach has successfully trained people to give polished, professional presentations; helped people to reduce their strong accents and speak clear English; assisted people to improve their diction and speech clarity and coached people to give entertaining, memorable speeches at social celebrations.
Sonya's qualifications include an arts degree in literature and linguistics, international speech diplomas from Trinity College, London; graduate certificates in course design, public relations, counselling, editing and script writing.
